Fostering Hope

At Stitched Together, we believe every foster child deserves to feel seen, supported, and deeply loved — especially those navigating foster care for the first time. As a local nonprofit, our mission is simple but powerful:

To Foster HOPE in the lives of children and teens in the foster system.

Some of the children who enter foster care arrive with nothing — not even the basics:

A baby discharged from the hospital with no diapers or formula. 
A child dropped off in a foster home wearing a shirt and pants two sizes too big because it was the only clothing a caseworker could find.
A teen rescued from a traumatic night, longing for distraction and comfort in a brand-new foster home.

In Franklin County alone — the county with the largest foster‑youth population in Ohio — FCCS had custody of approximately 2,626 youth in 2024. 
That means hundreds of children could arrive at a new home any given day with nothing but uncertainty, and too often, nothing to call their own.
